2017 Kneeplay Victoria Park Trainee Pro Am

The 2017 Kneeplay Victoria Park Trainee Pro Am was another successful day of golf on Monday 13th February with a field of almost 100 players in both the morning and afternoon tee slots. Although the barometer was off the charts, the players battled through the heat to post some low scores, with Chris Crooks of Wantima Country Club taking out the event with an incredible 9 under through 36 holes.

In the amateur division, it was clear that the morning field had the upper-hand with Barry Lathwell carding a massive 45 points for the win. In the afternoon field, Glenn Papworph scored 41 points to win the amateur division and Vaughan Clarke scored 39 points to take out the sponsors division.

At the end of the day we held a shoot-out for the top 10 trainees, teeing up from the Garden Marquee deck and hitting across to the 10th green. The champion, Chris Crooks shot his first attempt straight over the back but pulled it out of the hot with a hole in one with his second attempt and putting 2 wins onto the results sheet for the day.

A big thank you to our sponsors for the day:

Knee Play – Stuart Irving

Netconn – Loren Justins

Bank of Queensland Acacia Ridge – Mukhtar Basha

River City Displays – Rob Ferrier

Urbbana Menswear – Kaan Tavli
